iCraft Australia: Timeless Love

Hello everyone and welcome to the iCraft Australia Blog. "Timeless Love" is the title of my very first project as a design team member. I decided to create a simple layout using the very beautiful "In The Name of Love" collection. I love the elegant patterns and soft colour tones of these papers. This is a photo of my Hubby and I on our wedding day 21 years ago.

I chose the pretty pink cardstock as my background, then tore a piece of the grey cardstock diagonally and adhered the two sheets together with double sided tape. I fussy cut various flowers from the other cardstock in the collection, and embossed it with a small embossing tool for extra dimension. I then layered the fussy cut flowers and placed iCraft wooden embellishments above and between the layers.

I used the iCraft wooden clock face which I broke in half and painted with iCraft black gesso after applying a small coat of iCraft modelling paste. Once everything was dry, I dabbed iCraft gold metallic chalk paint over the top and added some small arty balls, also from iCraft. I glued one half of the clock face down, then spritzed a little water on the other half and carefully added bends before waiting for it to dry. I added glue to the back to help strengthen the wood after bending it into place. Once again, I used iCraft black gesso, iCraft gold metallic chalk paste and iCraft small arty balls. I used the same techniques on the iCraft wooden leaves and stems.

I layered everything together, then added some light pink iCraft flowers, as well as others from my craft stash. I wove the iCraft string pearls around the two larger flowers and added more iCraft arty balls and iCraft frosty shimmer glitter.
