Country Garden Album by Kerrie Barnes

Hello creative lovelies and welcome once again to the iCraft blog.  Today I am sharing the album I created using the gorgeous Country Garden papers from iCraft.  I absolutely adore the colours in this collection.

I first followed the instructions inside the iCraft Essential 6x6 Album box, and created the basic shape of the book using the black cardstock.  I cut all my pages to size, inked the edges and adhered those to the album pages with double sided tape.

I chose which pages were going to have pockets, envelopes, flaps and tags, and cut everything to size.  I then inked all the raw edges and adhered those onto the album pages using double sided tape.

Then came the fun part.  I found coordinating colours of embroidery thread and made eight tassels in various tones.  I punched holes in my tags, added eyelets and then my newly constructed tassels.  I'd never made them before, so I searched YouTube and found some simple easy videos.

I decorated the cover after placing ribbon between layers of paper to create a bow in the side to hold the album closed.  I used a gorgeous iCraft wooden element, painted it with iCraft Heavy Gesso Black, then iCraft Charcoal Black Metallic.  I also decided to add a few iCraft Wooden Elements to the inside of the album as well, and coated those in black ink.

I fussy cut some flowers and leaves from the beautiful cardstock and layered those over the wooden element on the cover and added a sentiment to top it off.  Thank you once again for taking the time to check out my project.   All products used are listed below and are available at tinamarie.com.au.   Until next time.  Kerrie Barnes.  xx.
