“Happiness” by Kerrie Barnes

Hello everyone.  Today I have a layout to share.  For this I chose the very beautiful Majestic Blooms Collection by iCraft.  This is one of my favourite collections by iCraft.  I began by tearing a piece of paper from the collection into a rough triangular shape.  Then, I laid this down on top of another piece of paper from the paper collection, and lightly traced around the triangle.  I mixed iCraft Shakespeare Chalk Paint into some iCraft Modeling Paste, and placed iCraft Stencil #8554 over top of the lines I traced.  I then added my chalk paint/modeling paste mix to my stencil, and moved it over the drawn line until I had a rough triangular stencil/paint/modeling paste shape on my paper.

I added cardboard to the back of the triangular shaped paper, inked the edges, then glued it onto my other page.  The cardboard was used to give dimension.  I cut different sized squares and rectangle shapes from the leftover paper, then inked the edges.

I distressed the edges of a photo, then added cardboard to the back of it to create more dimension, and layered my square and rectangle shaped papers under it, before gluing it to the project.

Using iCraft Kingdom Chalk Paint, I painted iCraft wooden embellsihment i73, broke it in half, and tucked the two pieces into the top left and bottom right of the photo.  I layered flowers from my craft stash with paper flowers cut from the paper collection, then added little pieces of dainty lace.

Deciding the flowers needed something extra, I added iCraft wooden embellishment leaves i564.  I added some iCraft Arty Balls, as well as some iCraft Heavy Gesso White paint flicks over the flowers.

Lastly, I added iCraft wooden embellishment i003 to the bottom right of the page and cut two birds from the iCraft Majestic Blooms Paper Collection.  I inked around the edges, then added cardboard to the back and glued them onto the project above "Happiness".  As always, thank you for taking a look at my project.  Until next time, stay safe and well.  Kerrie  xx.
